THE WONDERS OF PRAISE
TEXT: PSALM 147:1-7, 149:1-9.
Praise is offering words of homage as an act of worship to God. Praise is pleasant and comely (beautiful). God inhabits the praises of His people. Psalm 22:3
There are ‘ways’ of offering qualitative and acceptable praises to God. When praises ascend to heaven, untold wonders are being wrought in the lives of the people of God.
HOW TO ENGAGE IN WONDERS OF PRAISE
By using our mouths to talk about and extol the greatness of God and His wonderful acts. I Chron.29:10-14.
By lifting up of our hands. Psalm134:2
We can praise God by clapping. Psalm 47:1
By making a joyful shout unto the Lord. Psalm 100:1, 95:1.
God is also praised when we sing songs particularly new songs unto Him. Psalm 149:1, 147:7, 98:1.
We are to praise God with understanding. Psalm 47:6-7.
By using different instruments of music, we can also engage in wonders of praise. Psalm149:3, 150:4-5.
Praising God can also be done both in the spirit and understanding. I Cor.14:15b.
The wonders of praise are also expressed with our dancing. Psalm 149:3, 150:4.
