ENGAGING THE FORCE OF UNWAVERING FAITH
TEXT: ROMANS 4:1-3, 16-24; HEBREWS 10:19-23, 35-39.
Romans: 4. 1. What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2. For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 16. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 17. (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: 20. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24. But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Hebrews: 10. 19. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20. By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21. And having an high priest over the house of God; 22. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 35. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

WHAT IS ENGAGING THE FORCE UNWAVERING FAITH?
To Engage means: To employ the attention and efforts of; to occupy; to engross; to draw on.

Force means:1. Strength (regarded as active), power, might, energy, vigor.

  1. Efficacy, efficiency, potency, validity, cogency, virtue, agency.

Unwavering means: firm; steadfast; steady; stiff; unbendable; unfaltering; unshakable; marked by firm determination or resolution; not shakable.
It also means: Constant, unhesitating, settled, determined, fixed, resolute.
Faith means: 1. Belief (that prompts to action), credence, credit, trust, assurance, confidence, dependence, reliance.
According to the scriptures:
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Unwavering faith is a firm, steadfast and resolute belief in God and His promises. It is a dogged stand to believe in the word of God without shifting ground no matter what happens. It is the kind of faith that does not take a ‘no’ for an answer. Mark 2:1-5; 7:25-30, 10:46-52.
Unwavering faith is the kind of faith God expects us to have in this end time when a lot of issues are challenging our believe in God, when a lot of temptations that look juicy are trying to make us look for alternative to God. 2 Tim. 3:1-2; Rev. 3:15-16.
2 Timothy: 3. 1. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Revelation: 3. 15. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Our resolve as believers MUST be for God and nothing else just like David declared in Psalm 16:5-8; John 6:59-69.
Psalm: 16. 5. The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. 6. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. 7. I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. 8. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
  10. Genuine or unfeigned faith. 2 Tim.1:5.

1 Peter: 5. 8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9. Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
  15. Overcoming faith. 1 John 5:4.
1 John: 5. 4. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

ATTRIBUTES OR CHARACTERISTICS OF UNWAVERING FAITH

  1. It is the God’s kind of faith. Mark 11:22; Gen. 1:1-3.
Mark: 11. 22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Genesis: 1. 1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
  2. Unwavering faith is a mountain moving faith. No obstacle can intimidate it. Mark 11:22-23.
Mark: 11. 22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
  3. It is a faith that is resolutely dependent on God’s word. Heb. 11:1-3.
Hebrews: 11. 1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2. For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
  4. Unwavering faith is a speaking faith. It keeps speaking until the words come to practical manifestation. 2 Cor. 4:13; Rom. 10:8-10; Heb. 10:22-23.
2 Corinthians: 4. 13. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 14. Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
Romans: 10. 8. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Hebrews: 10. 23. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
  5. Unwavering faith never gives up on God’s promises, and it doesn’t look for alternative or plan ‘B’ to God’s plan. Job 13:15, 14:14; Heb. 10:35-39.
Job: 13. 15. Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
Job: 14. 14. If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
Hebrews: 10. 35.
  6. Unwavering faith is always focused on its target and result. It doesn’t accommodate distractions. Matt. 14:25-31; Mark 5:24-34.
Matthew: 14. 25. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 27. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. 28. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Mark: 5. 24. And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. 25. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26. And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27. When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. 30. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31. And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32. And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
  7. Unwavering faith is patient, persistent and forceful. It is always advancing and making progress in the face of oppositions and challenges. Mark 2:1-12.
Mark: 2. 1. And again he entered into Capernaum, after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. 2. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. 3. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. 4. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. 5. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. 6. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts.Mark: 2. 7. Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? 8. And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? 9. Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? 10. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) 11. I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. 12. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
  8. Unwavering faith does not take a ‘No’ for an answer. Luke 18:1-8; Mark 7:24-30.
Luke: 18. 1. And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2. Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3. And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5. Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8. I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Mark: 7. 24. And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid. 25. For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet: 26. The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. 27. But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. 28. And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs. 29. And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. 30. And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
  9. It is the kind of faith our fathers (the Patriarchs) engaged that gave them all round victory that we are celebrating and making references to today. Rom. 4:16-21; Heb. 11:2.
Romans: 4. 16. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 17. (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: 20. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Hebrews: 11. 2. For by it the elders obtained a good report.
  10. Unwavering faith always wins at the end. There is no failure around it. It always obtains the promises. Heb. 11:3, 29-35.
Hebrews: 11. 3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 29. By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned. 30. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. 31. By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. 32. And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33. Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection.

KEY FACILITORS FOR YOUR EMPOWERMENT TO SUCCEED
It is certainly and undeniable that we have been empowered to succeed by the reason of our redemption in Christ. However, there are certain keys we need to engage in order to enhance the success God has endowed us with. The following keys are very essential.
Personal Relationship with God: Without God, success is a mirage. Therefore you need to get acquainted to Him on a personal absis. Know Him by accepting Jesus Christ. Job 22:21, John 1:12, 15:1-5.
The Key of Faith: Without powers and forces of darkness. It is impossible to please God; neither is it possible to appropriate the promise of success.
You need to believe God and His word. Also, you need to believe in yourself that you are what His word say you are. Mark. 11:22, 9:23; Heb. 11:6.
Embrace the Word of God: The Bible is the manual of durable and enduring success. You are to study it, meditate on it, and do it. Thereby your success will be undeniable. Jos. 1:8; Psa. 1:3, I Tim4:13, James 1:22-25.
The Anointing of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is a Spirit of success. When His anointing comes upon you, nothing can stand in your way of success. The anointing came upon Saul when he met Prophet Samuel. The anointing turned Saul into another man. The power of the Holy Ghost also came upon the Apostles and they began to accomplish successes that were undeniable. I sam. 10:1-9, Acts 1:8, 3:1-11, 4:16.
Fervent Prayers: A prayerful believer is a candidate for success anytime, any day. Whatever you ask God prayerfully in the name of Jesus shall be delivered to your hands. Mountains and obstacles will be cleared off your paths of success if only you will engage in the fervent prayers. Jer. 33:3, John 14:14, James 5:16-17, I John 5:14.
Understanding Your Covenant Right of Success and Trading It: we are covenant people as believers. We inherited the covenant promise of success from Abraham. However, if you must manifest this success, you must have adequate knowledge and understanding of your covenant inheritance in Christ. Ignorance will rob you of what is yours. So embrace the covenant right and run with it. Gal. 3:13-14, Hosea 4:6, Gen. 39:2, 26:2-4, 12:14.
Embrace the Wisdom of God: Wisdom is the right application of knowledge you have received. Embrace God’s wisdom and you can never be a failure. Wisdom is profitable to direct. Prov. 4:5-8, Essl. 10:15.
Renewed Mindset: The scripture commands us not to conform to the mindset of the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. A renewed mindset is a possibility and success mindset. You need to renew your mindset and to conform to God’s counsel and promise for your life. You are a success and not a failure. The DNA of failure is no more in you. Rom. 12:1-2, Prov. 23:7, Phil. 4:8.
Key of Diligence and Hard work: Success will not drop on you like a ripe cherry. Success is not for the idle and lazy people. You must be diligent and hardworking in your Job, business or career and the grace of God will crown your efforts so that you can achieve notable and undeniable success. Prov. 22:29, 12:11, 24,27, 14:23, 10:4.
Courage and Boldness: You need to be courageous and bold to face any challenge or obstacle on your way of success. God specifically gave Joshua this key when He was giving the responsibility of leadership. Josh 1:5-7,9.
Successful Company/Association: Show me your friends, and I will tell you the manner of man you are. Birds of the same feather flock together. The type of company you keep will go a long way in determining whether you will be become a success or a failure. So watch out who you come around and who comes around you. Friendship is by choice not by force. I Cor. 15:33, Prov. 13:20, Palm 1:1-3.
Success Confession/Declaration: The words of your mouth are very essential in determining whether you be be successful or not. You cannot be confessing fear, doubt and failure all the time and expect success to be your experience. Though you are empowered to succeed but God said He will always do according to what you are saying. Num. 14: 28, I kings 3:12a, Prov. 18:20-21.
EVIDENCES/EFFECTS OF YOUR EMPOWERMENT TO SUCCEED

TEXT: PROVERBS 6:2, 13:2-3, 18:20-21; MATTHEW 12:33-37; JOHN 1:19-23; JEREMIAH 32:24b.

Power means ability to act or do work. When we talk of the power or your words, we means the word of your mouth has the propensity to produce results or effects in your life. The world system is voice or word activated. Life or world system runs on words. (Heb. 11:3)
What you say determines what life will deliver to your hands. The quality and the magnitude of your words are what will determine what comes to you.
The man or woman with the word backed by higher authority is the one that will get victory over the battle of life. David overcame Goliath because of the quality and intensity of the word of his mouth. 1 Sam. 42-47; Acts 19:20.

  4. Watch the words that proceed out of your mouth. Be careful about careless and flippant words. Matt. 12:36.
  5. Every word you speak has the potentiality of producing fruits. If it is a positive word, it will produce positive fruits; and if it is negative, it will produce negative fruits. Prov. 13:2, 18:20-21.
  6. The key to having a positive and effective word is by embracing the word of God and allowing the word to dwell richly inside you. Col. 3:16.

ENGAGING THE POWER OF FAITH
TEXT: HEBREWS 11:1-3, 29-39

Hebrews 11:1-3, 29-39 (KJV)
1.Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2.For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3.Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

  1. By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
  2. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
  3. By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.
  4. And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
33.Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
  5. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
  6. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
  7. And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
  8. They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
  9. (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
  10. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

WHAT IS POWER?
Power is the Ability to act, regarded as latent or inherent; the faculty of doing or performing something; capacity for action or performance; capability of producing an effect, whether physical or moral: potency or what we call potential.

WHAT IS FAITH?
Faith [n.]: 1. Belief (that prompts to action), credence, credit, trust, assurance, confidence, dependence, reliance.

  1. Creed, persuasion, tenets, dogmas, doctrines, religion, system of religion.
  2. Fidelity, ~fulness, truthfulness, truth constancy, loyalty.
  3. Engagement, promise, word of honor.

According to the scriptures:
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
THINGS YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT FAITH

  1. Faith is God’s attribute and instrument of creation. It is by it that God created the heavens and the earth. Heb. 11:3
Hebrews: 11. 3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Heb.11.3 By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible. (AMP)
Heb.11.3 By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see. (MSB)
Heb.11.3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. (NLT)
  2. Faith when engaged by every believer is what thrills and pleases God. Heb. 11:6.
Hebrews: 11. 6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
  3. When you give your life to Christ, there is a measure of faith that was deposited inside you. So as a believer, you are not faithless. ROM. 12:3
Romans: 12. 3. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
  4. Faith grows and increases by the reason of use. The little faith deposited inside you has the ability and power to move mountains tomorrow if you will activate and use it. Matt. 17:20; Luke 17:5
Matthew: 17. 20. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Luke: 17. 5. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
  5. Faith sees, faith says. Whatever faith says, it eventually sees it in physical manifestation. Gen. 1:1-4.
Genesis: 1. 1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
  6. Faith many a time does not make sense to an intelligent mind. Faith is beyond human sense and reasoning, it is a spiritual thing. 1 Cor. 2:14; John 2:1-10; Luke 5:1-7.

1 Corinthians: 2. 14. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
John: 2. 1. And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2. And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. 6. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. 9. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, 10. And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
Luke: 5. 1. And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, 2. And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. 3. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 4. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

  1. Hearing of the word of God is the source by which faith comes. ROM. 10:17.
Romans: 10. 17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
  2. Your mouth is an agent through which faith downloads what is in the spirit realm to physical reality. Mark 11:22-23; ROM. 10:6-10.
Mark: 11.
Romans: 10. 6. But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7. Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8.
  3. Faith always win. It never fails. Faith always have fruits or evidences to show.

FRESH GRACE: WHY AND WHEN DO WE NEED IT?

TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-10; PSALM 92:10-14,

1 Corinthians: 15. 1. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2. By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4. And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5. And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6. After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. 9. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Psalm: 92. 10. But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. 11. Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. 12. The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

WHAT IS FRESH GRACE?
Fresh means: 1. New, recent, novel.

  1. Renewed, revived.
  2. Blooming, flourishing, unfaded, unwithered, unwilted, well-preserved, in good condition, unimpaired, undecayed.
  3. Of recent make, not stale or sour, sweet.

The word “Grace” in Hebrew language is “Charis” which means to confer a sense of graciousness, gait or beauty. “Grace” means free and undeserved favour especially of God. It is the unmerited divine assistance given to human beings. Grace is a spiritual material and ingredient that delivers into your hands what is hitherto beyond your ability or capability. When grace is at work in a man’s life, he enjoys favours that ordinarily he is not qualified for.
Fresh Grace simply means God endowing you with new and fresh ability and enablement to experience better and bigger things much more than you have ever experienced or encountered. This will be your experience and testimony in this new month in Jesus name.
God specializes in doing new and fresh things. He doesn’t want you to be accustomed to the old as for you not to enjoy new things He is bringing your way.
N.B. When we talk about Fresh Grace, it means somethings might have happened to the first grace. It may also mean that the grace is becoming stale or obsolete by the reason of use. Or it can also mean that familiarity that brings contempt has crept in.
Also, it may also means that God wants to give you a fresh ability for the next higher level or responsibility He wants to give to you. 2 Cor. 12:7-9.
2 Corinthians: 12. 7. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

WHY AND WHEN DO WE NEED FRESH GRACE?

  1. Grace is not static. It is multidimensional. The grace you are enjoying today is not terminal, neither is it your last bus stop. So you need a fresh grace which is another dimension different from the one you are experiencing today. 1 Pet. 4:10
1 Peter: 4. 10. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
  2. Grace also grows. It increases and multiplies. So there is another level of grace that can be experienced. 2 Pet. 3:18.
2 Peter: 3. 18. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
  3. There are different graces for different things. The fact that you have grace for one area or one thing does not mean you have grace for all things. Grace passes grace. But you can crave for a fresh and better grace. 2 Cor. 8:1-7
2 Corinthians: 8. 1. Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; 2. How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. 3. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; 4. Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 5. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. 6. Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. 7. Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.
  4. The way you are using the measure of grace you have been given will determine how much more of fresh and greater grace God will bestow on you. Matt. 25:14-30.
Matthew: 25. 14. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. 19. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matthew: 25. 24. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25. And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27. Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
  5. Fresh grace is also needed when you have either taken the grace given to you for granted, or in vain; or you have frustrated that grace by the reason of your carelessness. 2 Cor. 6:1; Gal. 2:21.
2 Corinthians: 6. 1. We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
Galatians: 2. 21. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
  6. Fresh Grace is also highly required in your life, business, job or career if what you used to do with less efforts and greater results are now becoming struggles and fruitless efforts. You need to look inward and sincerely repent before God. Luke 5:1-8.
Luke: 5.
  7. Fresh Grace is also needed in our walk with God and work for God in order to achieve greater impacts for His Kingdom purposes. Dan. 11:32-33.
Daniel: 11. 32. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. 33. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
  8. If what you used to do excitedly for God and in the house of God is no more giving you joy and excitement, then you need fresh oil and fresh grace. Psa. 27:4, 122:1.
Psalm: 27. 4. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
Psalm: 122. 1. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
  9. If you are now becoming familiar with the grace you are enjoying presently and you now commonise or despise the grace, then you need to repent and ask for fresh grace.
  10. You also need fresh grace if your heart is now becoming critical and analytical about God, the word of God, the ministers of God and the church of God in general. 1 Tim. 1:19-20; 2 Tim. 3:1-9.
1 Timothy: 1. 19. Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: 20. Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
2 Timothy: 3. 1. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
  11. If you have lost your fire in the place of prayer, your Bible study, your worship sessions, and your serviceability in the church, then you need this fresh oil and fresh grace. Matt. 25:1-13
Matthew: 25. 1. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
  12. When you are not functional in the service of God like you used to do. When you have lost your first love for God, then you need this fresh oil and fresh grace. Rev. 2:1-5
Revelation: 2. 1. Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 2. I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3. And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

EXPERIENCING FRESH GRACE
TEXT: EXODUS 33:1-23; JOHN 1:1-5, 14-17
Exodus: 33. 1. And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it: 2. And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: 3. Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way. 4. And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments. 5. For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee. 6. And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb. 7. And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp. 8. And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.
Exodus: 33. 9. And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses. 10. And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door. 11. And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. 12. And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. 13. Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. 14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. 15. And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. 16. For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
Exodus: 33. 17. And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. 18. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. 19. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. 20. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. 21. And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: 22. And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: 23. And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

John: 1. 1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. The same was in the beginning with God. 3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

The word “Grace” in Hebrew language is “Charis” which means to confer a sense of graciousness, gait or beauty. “Grace” means free and undeserved favour especially of God. It is the unmerited divine assistance given to human beings. Grace is a spiritual material and ingredient that delivers into your hands what is hitherto beyond your reach. When grace is at work in a man’s life, he enjoys favours that ordinarily he is not qualified for.
Fresh Grace simply means God endowing you with new and fresh ability and enablement to experience better and bigger things much more than you have ever experienced or encountered.
God specializes in doing new and fresh things. He doesn’t want you to be accustomed to the old as for you not to enjoy new things He is bringing your way.

Isa. 42:8-10, 43:15-19; Jere. 31:31-34; Ezek. 36:24-27.
Isaiah: 42. 8. I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. 9. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. 10. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

Isaiah: 43. 15. I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. 16. Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; 17. Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow. 18. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Jeremiah: 31. 31. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33. But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Ezekiel: 36. 24. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Fresh Grace may also mean fresh ability, fresh insight, fresh anointing, fresh wisdom and fresh power to do unusual and uncommon exploits that will amaze you yourself. Psalm 92:10
Psalm: 92. 10. But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. – Bible Offline

N.B. When we talk about fresh Grace, it means somethings might have happened to the first grace. It may means the grace is becoming stale or obsolete by the reason of use. Or it can also means familiarity that brings that brings contempt has been the other of the day.
Also, it may also means that God wants to give you a fresh ability for the next higher level or responsibility He wants to give to you. 1 Cor. 15:9-10; 2 Cor. 12:7-9.

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

GRACE-THE BRINGER OF GOOD THINGS
TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-10; TITUS 2:11-14

Titus: 2. 11. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13. Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14. Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son? 3. Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: 4. And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands. 5. After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: 6. And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. 7. Romans: 12. 1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Philippians: 4. 8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Psalm: 35. 27. Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

INTRODUCTION
There is one rule or principle we should always follow in our lives, marriage, ministries, jobs, businesses, careers, and in everything else we do. It is the principle that new growth comes from new thinking. It is impossible to ascend to new level in life if your old way of thinking is not challenged and discarded.
New thinking leads to new understanding, and new understanding leads to new approaches. When we change our approach to things, our results change as well.
If you want to grow, progress and prosper in any area of your life, you must improve your understanding of that area and change your approach. When these two forces are in place, your life will be positively impacted, and things will begin to move in the direction and fashion you desire.

WHY PROSPERITY?

  1. Prosperity is part of the original plan of God for man right from the creation of the world in the garden of Eden. The garden was a garden of affluence, peace and prosperity until Adam and Eve lost their inheritance to the devil through disobedience. Gen. 1:1-3, 31, 2:8-16.
Genesis: 1. 1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 31. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Genesis: 2. 8. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. 10. And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. 11. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; 12. And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. 13. And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. 14. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. 15. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
  2. God is a wealthy and prosperous God. He is Prosperity personified. This God is your Father if you are redeemed and saved by the blood of Jesus on the cross of Calvary. God is the owner of everything both in heaven and on earth. He owns silver and gold in His possession. Even the streets of heaven are paved with gold and other costly gems. Psalm 50:9-12; Hag. 2:6-8; Rev. 21:1, 18-21.
Psalm: 50. 9. I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. 10. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. 11. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. 12. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
Haggai: 2. 6. For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; 7. And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. 8. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
Revelation: 21. 1. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 18. And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. 19. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20. The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. 21. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
  3. The Patriarchs of old experienced and enjoyed untold prosperity. Gen. 13:1-2, 24:34-35, 26:12-14, 33:9.

  4. When God was to take the Israelites out of Egypt, the land bondage and poverty, He painted prosperity image in their minds. He eventually took them to a land of prosperity, a land flowing with milk and honey. He also caused them to be possessors of silver and gold. They didn’t lack. Exo. 11:1-3, 12:35-36; Psa. 105:36-37.
Exodus: 11. 1. And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether. 2. Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold. 3. And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.

Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God. 2. Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance. 3. Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, 4. Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal: 5. The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?
2 Chronicles: 1. 6. And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it. 7. In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee. 8. And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. 9. Now , O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. 10. Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? 11. And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: 12. Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. 15. And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.

Acts: 2. 44. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45. And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47. Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Acts: 4. 32. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. 33. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. 34. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35. And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
  9. Apostle John-the Beloved was also given a great revelation on the Island of Patmos about God’s ultimate wish and prayer for His children, which is all round or total prosperity. 3 John 2.

A HEART OF APPRECIATION
TEXT: PSALM 92:1-5, 95:1-11; 105:1-7, 107:1-31

A common adage says, “Thank you makes room for more”. This implies that when you show appreciation or gratitude for whatever benefit you receive or enjoy on the part of somebody, it makes that person favourably disposed to shower more of such benefits on you.

Now, God has lavished us with His bountiful blessings. We deserve nothing, and He owes us nothing, yet He freely gives us all things. This should provoke in us true heartfelt appreciation.

WHAT IS APPRECIATION?
Appreciation is the expression or giving of thanks or gratitude to the Lord for who He is, for what He has done in our lives, and for what He will yet do for us. Ps. 92:5-8.

Every living soul has a reason to give thanks. A heart of appreciation is a must. Let your heart be lifted unto him in thanksgiving for He is our Saviour and giver of every good thing.

Christ has accomplished all that was needed to be done for us. All we need to do is to offer sacrifice of thanksgiving continually unto Him. This is because thanksgiving is stepping-stone to receiving from God as well as the secret of increase and progress in life.
The sin of ingratitude is worse than a snakebite. Make thanksgiving your way of life.

Why Do We Need To Give Thanks?
a. The Bible commands it. Psalm 150:6
b. It is a good thing. Psalm 92:1
c. It is the will of God for us. I Thess. 5:18.
d. It is an act of making known the goodness of God. Psalm 105:1; 145:8-12.
e. It moves the mighty hands of God in our time of need. Josh. 6:1-5; Acts 16:24-26.
f. It is an expression of our appreciation of who God is in our lives. Psa. 136:1, 23-26.
g. It is a weapon of deliverance in times of war. II Chron. 20:1-5, 13-17, 21-25.
h. It prepares us to receive the miraculous. Hab. 3:17-19.

An acceptable thanksgiving is a conscious and deliberate expression of appreciation and gratitude unto the Lord from a believing and cheerful heart. Jn. 4:23-24.

  1. HOW TO SHOW APPRECIATION
    a. In faith. Lk. 1:38, 45-47; Acts 16:22-25.

b. Continually. Psa. 145:1-2; 146:1-2; 1 Thess. 5:18; Eph. 5:20.

c. In cash or in kind. 1 Sam. 1:21-28; 1 Chron. 21:23-26; Deut. 16:16-17.
d. Music and dance. Psa. 150:3-5.

e. By our lips. Heb. 13:15; Ps. 116:17.

THE RIGHT ATTITUDE
Without the right attitude you cannot get the right result. Therefore thanksgiving should be rendered:
a. Wholeheartedly. Ps. 9:1; 86:12.

b. It should be done cheerfully. Exo. 35:5; 2 Cor. 8:12.
c. Thanks should be offered irrespective of the situation you facing presently. Hab. 3:17-18.
It is good to come before God’s presence with thanksgiving and with a right attitude. This is the sure way to make your offering(s) acceptable to God.

BENEFITS OF GIVING THANKS
It brings about joy because we obey the scriptures. I Thess. 5:18

b. It brings increase. Matt. 15:36-37; Psa. 67:6.

C. It strengthens our faith. Phil. 4:6
d. Thanksgiving ushers us into God’s presence. Psa. 100:4.

e. It provokes God to action. Acts 16:22-26; 2 Chron. 20:22.

F. Giving of thanks brings the presence of God right into your situation. John 6:1-12, 11:32-44.
