FROM GLORY TO GLORY
TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 3:1-18; HAGGAI 2:3-9.

WHAT IS GLORY?
In simple terms, Glory is the opposite of shame, insult and reproach.
The dictionary defines Glory as Praise, honor, admiration, or distinction, accorded by common consent to a person or thing; high reputation; honorable fame; renown.

The Greek word for “Glory” is “Doxa” which means honour, worship and dignity.
The Hebrew word for “Glory” is “Kabod” Which means: Abundance, wealth, honour, dignity, splendour, brightness and majesty.
From GLORY to GLORY is a statement of progression, progress, advancement, increase and multiplication from one level or degree to another.
From our definition of Glory, from GLORY to GLORY will imply a progression from praise to praise, honor to honor, admiration to admiration, splendour to splendour, majesty to majesty, abundance to abundance, wealth to wealth etc.
GLORY to GLORY is a prophetic word about the transformation coming your way that will be irresistible and undeniable. Psalm 126:1-3; Proverbs 4:18; Acts 4:16.
GLORY to GLORY also implies that Glory has classes and degrees, and it differs from person to person. But whatever the case may be it is God’s will for every believer to graduate from one level of Glory to another. 1 Cor. 15:39-43.

EXAMINING DIFFERENT TYPES OF GLORY

  1. Thin Glory. Isaiah 17:4
  2. Departed or Lost Glory ( I-Chabod) 1 Sam. 4:21
  3. Fading / Done-away Glory. 2 Cor. 3:7.
  4. Vainglory. Phil. 2:3
  5. First / Former Glory. Hag. 2:3
  6. Latter Glory. Hag. 2:9
  7. Great Glory. Psa. 21:5, 138:5, Matt. 24:30
  8. Covered / Hidden Glory. Isa. 40:5
  9. Revealed or Manifested Glory. Isa. 40:5, John 2:11.

  17. Ultimate Glory. Rev. 21:21-26. SOME BASIC NUGGETS ABOUT GLORY
  18. GLORY IS SYNONYMOUS TO LIGHT. WHEN LIGHT SHOWS UP, DARKNESS DISAPPEARS. ISA. 60:1-3; JOHN 1:1-5.
  19. GLORY IS ATTRACTIVE. MANY PEOPLE, GREAT AND SMALL WILL BE ATTRACTED TO YOU IN A FAVOURABLE WAY. ISA. 60:1-5.
  20. GLORY CANNOT BE COVERED. IT IS VISIBLE AND SEEABLE. ISA. 60:2; EXO. 33:18-23, 34:29-30.
  21. THERE IS NO BETTER TIME FOR GLORY TO SHOW UP AND HAPPEN IN YOUR LIFE THAN NOW WHEN DARKNESS SEEMS TO BE LOOMING EVERYWHERE. LIGHT IS APPRECIATED MORE WHEN THERE IS DARKNESS. YOU DON’T APPRECIATE THE HEADLAMP OF YOUR CAR WHEN IT IS DAYLIGHT, UNTIL WHEN NIGHT COMES. ISA. 60:1-2; PSALM 30:5; 1 PET. 1:9-10.
  22. GLORY IS IN PHASES. IT IS IN DEGREES AND LEVELS. 1 COR. 15:40-41.
  23. GLORY IS PROGRESSIVE. IT IS NOT STATIC. WHEN YOU ENCOUNTER A NEW GLORY, YOUR LIFE WILL MOVE FORWARD. 2 COR.3:15-18; PROV. 4:18.
  24. CHRIST IN YOU IS THE HOPE OF GLORY, NOT THE HOPE OF SHAME. IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN, YOU BECOME A GLORY CARRIER ON YOUR INSIDE. COL.1:27
  25. GLORY CAN ALSO BE REVEALED.
    THERE ARE GREAT AND GLORIOUS POTENTIALS THAT HAVE BEEN HIDDEN OR LATENT INSIDE YOU, THEY WILL BE REVEALED. THE VAILS COVERING THAT GLORY WILL BE DESTROYED. ISA. 40:1-5, 25:7.
  26. IT IS AN ERROR FOR YOU TO KEEP CELEBRATING AND DANCING AROUND OLD GLORY WHEN YOU CAN BASK IN A NEW AND FRESH GLORY. Deut. 1:6-7, 2:2-3; HAG. 2:3-4, 6-9.
  27. GOD IS BOTH THE GOD OF GLORY AND KING OF GLORY. HE IS NOT THE GOD OF SHAME. AND HE IS YOUR GOD AND YOUR FATHER. PSA.24:7-10, 29:3.
  28. GOD GIVES GRACE AND GLORY. PSA.84:11.
  29. AS BELIEVERS, IT IS GOD’S WILL THAT WE SHOW FORTH HIS PRAISE AND GLORY. ISA.43:21.
  30. GLORY HAS WEIGHTS AND IT IS DURABLE AND ETERNAL. 2 COR.4:17

WHY FROM GLORY TO GLORY?

  1. It is God’s will for you. God is not a stagnated God. He is progressive in His achievements, so He will never subscribe for you and me to be dancing around your glory of today as if that is all you could achieve in life. Deut. 1:6-7, 2:2-3.
  2. God also promised in His word that there is another glory called the glory of the latter house. He wants His children to pursue and attain that new glory which is better and greater than the former. Haggai 2:7,9.
  3. The best of the glory of yesterday is now history that is in the past tense. So you cannot afford to be living in your past when you are still alive and well. Phil.3:7-8.
  4. Time and life are always on the move. You cannot hold them down. So you must be ready to move or else you will be left behind. May that not be your portion in Jesus name. Dan.2:21.
  5. Our Lord Jesus was always on the move covering more grounds for the kingdom sake. After every breakthrough and the accompanying fame and glory, you will see Him setting out with new visions and goals to do greater exploits for the kingdom. Matt.14:19-23.
  6. Apostle Paul was never satisfied with the level of glory and achievements he had. He was fond of leaving his glory of yesterday behind and pressing forward to a greater glory ahead. Phil. 3:7-8, 12-14.
  7. There are a lot of people running the race of life like you. If you don’t forget your past, you will pass with your past. There are billions of people behind you, wanting to overtake you and render your glory of yesterday to become a thrash. So, you must wake up and crave for a greater and better glory. 1 Cor.9:24; Heb. 12:1.
  8. When you experience a new and greater glory, you too will have a sense of personal achievement and progress because life is progressive. 2 Tim. 4:7-8. EFFECTS OF THE NEW GLORY
  9. By the reason of the new Glory, every shame, insult and reproach will be totally cancelled. Luke 1:25-26.
  10. Your fame will be spread abroad. Esther 9:4, Matt. 4:24; 9:31, 14:1, Mark. 1:28.
  11. Exceeding and unspeakable Joy and gladness that will culminate in thanksgiving will be your testimony. Jer. 30:19, 33:9-11.
  12. Abundance of wealth and riches will be at your beck and call. Poverty and lack will be a thing of the past. Haggai 2:6-8.
  13. Honour and glory will replace shame and reproach. Isa. 61:7
  14. Kings, queens and great people from all works of life will begin to come to us and identify with us. Isa. 60:1-3, 10-11.
  15. Your sons and daughters who have left you will begin to return home when they hear of the new things God is doing in your midst and the fresh glory He is bringing your way. Isa. 60:4, 49:19-21.
  16. Fresh and new glory will bring about multiplication and enlargement in every of your endeavours. No more smallness in your businesses, jobs, careers, marriages etc. Isa. 60:22.
  17. Untold peace and tranquility shall be your nature and experience continually. Haggai. 2:9-6; Isa. 26:3; Phil. 3:7.
